In honor of my 1.25 year anniversary moving to the “Live Free or Die” state, below is a map detailing the path I traveled from Los Angeles to Manchester, my new Yankee home. Each waypoint is where I stayed, some a single night, others a couple.
I got to stay in a Las Vegas hotel for free. Camped out overnight in the Badlands and Allegheny National Forest. Randomly saw the vaudeville-clown-style, traveling, New York theatre production of “39 Steps” in Platteville, WI. Got stuck in the middle of nowhere South Dakota. Stressed over an overheated car in Warren, PA. Spent time with friends all along the way. It was an amazing two week adventure. Something I plan on doing again. But with more backcountry camping next time.
